Sumerian progressive outfit Circa Survive announced the release date for their sixth album, “The Amulet,” today on Instagram.

The album will be released on Sept. 22. Additionally, the band will release a new song, “Lustration,” from the album tonight at midnight.

“The Amulet” will be their third release with Sumerian Records, following 2014’s “Descensus” and the deluxe edition of their self-released album “Violent Waves.”

The announcement comes just days before they go on tour with AFI, allowing the band to likely debut some new songs before the album’s official release, a route they took in 2014 prior to the release of “Descensus.”

For frontman Anthony Green, it has been a busy two years. Green reunited with his former band, Saosin, last year, releasing “Along the Shadow,” their first album since 2009 and first release with Green since their debut EP,”Translating the Name,” in 2003. He also released his third solo album, “Pixie Queen,” in 2016.

Pre-orders for the album are available now and the list of tour dates can be seen here.
