Every Time I Die drummer Ryan “Legs” Leger left the band according to a post on their Facebook page. Leger will be replaced by Daniel Davison.
“sadly, Ryan “Legs” Leger is no longer with us. he’s not dead, he has just voluntarily ended his involvement with ETID in order to spend more time with his family and hopefully one day earn that coveted #1 Dad mug he’s heard so much about. we wish him nothing but the best and we will all miss him dearly. but the show must go off. enter Daniel Davison. see you soon,” the band announced.
Davison was a co-founding member of metalcore outfit Norma Jean and also served as the final drummer for Underoath after Aaron Gillespie left the band. Despite performing in Christian bands, Leger himself claims to not be religiously affiliated.
After Underoath broke up in 2013, Davison focused on his film and video company ISTHMUS Studios and worked as a director.
Leger joined the band in 2009 after replacing founding member Mike Novak, who left the band for personal reasons. With Leger, the band recorded two albums, “Ex Lives” and “From Parts Unknown,” which was released last year.
Every Time I Die is set to begin a European tour with Architects, Blessthefall, and Counterparts on Feb. 16.
