Letlive. guitarist Jean Nascimento has left the band after eight years according to a post on his Instagram page.
“Hello everyone! Hope everyone reading this is doing very well. I should have posted this a little while ago, but here it is for those who don’t know. I am/will no longer be a member of the musical act know as letlive. Thank you to all the fans, soulpunx and friends that have made the past, 8years of this journey . I’ve also had the privilege to tour with some amazing bands and artists. It’s been a great journey. Thank you all, very much!! #afewofmanypasses #thankyou,” Nascimento wrote.
At the moment, the band has not released any news regarding Nascimento’s replacement. Timing could not have come at a worse time as the band begins a tour with Taking Back Sunday and the Menzingers next week. The band is also planning on recording an album, set to be released later this year.
While changing band members is no foreign thing to letlive. the band has maintained at least some model of consistency since 2009, when Nascimento and fellow guitarist Jeff Sahyoun joined the band, only needing to replace their drummer in the process. The only founding band member who is still in letlive. is vocalist Jason Aalon Butler.
With the lineup finally solidified, letlive. took the scene by storm, releasing “Fake History” in 2010, their first album in five years. A year later, the band signed with Epitath and released “The Blackest Beautiful” in 2013.
