Actress Olivia Munn will join the cast in Bryan Singer’s upcoming Marvel film “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
Munn, 34, will portray Betsy Braddock, a.k.a. Psylocke, a telekinetic mutant with powers similar to Jean Grey.
Psylocke is not the only new character recently announced for the film. Last month, it was announced that the role of Jubilee will be filled by Lana Condor, who will be making her big screen debut.
With Singer, who directed “X-Men” and “X2: X-Men United,” returning for “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” the franchise received a huge boost in the box office, grossing more than $748 million.
Principal photography for “X-Men: Apocalypse” is set to begin this month and the film is planning on a May 27, 2016 release date.
